The NEW TAILOR Est. 1997 line is made according to tailoring traditions, from body measurements but with a machine. We make the jackets and suits with a loose interior to do justice to the suppleness and fall of the fabric. 

When we started NEW TAILOR in 1997, we already felt that clothing should start with the customer and his conscious choice. Only then can you wear clothes that really fit, both literally and figuratively. With tailored clothing you can show even better what you like and enjoy, it fits (of course) better and it lasts longer. You have the opportunity to determine all the details and choose the color and pattern that really suits you and your wardrobe. 

Within the Est 1997 offering, we offer many products such as suits, jackets, pants, overcoats, hunting wear, tuxedos, morning coats and a skirt. But also jeans, sweaters and overshirts. All tailored and therefore very choices in terms of fabrics, styling, buttons and finishing details. 

We make the jeans with Cadiani, the sweaters & chinos with Borelio, the shirts with Emanuel Berg and the suits, jackets and other tailored items (with an interior) with Lambton Tailoring from Leeds who have the assembling of the clothes done by Silvercrest and Penquin in India. We arrange the logistics, patterns and fabrics from Utrecht.

Easy wear

You want to look groomed every day, and feel comfortable in your clothes. The need for beautiful luxury clothing with more comfort, a sportier look and the need for sustainability, have resulted in the further development of our smart casual range; we call it Easy Wear. You can basically wear it anytime and anywhere. Besides Easy Wear jackets, we are of course also happy to make your chinos, pullovers and casual shirts for you. Made-to-measure, of course.

Business Wear by NEW TAILOR

Business Wear

The assurance of a good first impression can be found in our Business Wear line. Of course, in addition to suits, we as tailors also make combinations of jackets and a chino that you can and want to wear in a business environment. Just a little more formal and dressier than Easy Wear.

By a little more structure and inner work and just more formal fabrics. With a little more shine, for example, you make an impression and the content becomes more important. So it's clothing you don't have to worry about.

A wedding suit of course involves just a bit more than buying a business suit, which is why we like to take all the time we can to inspire and help you with the many choices. See examples in the stores; also our magazines will help you make the right choice. We have a lot of experience in making clothes for a wedding and other formal occasions. From a tuxedo for formal dinners or a jacquet, a bohemian combination to the ultimate linen wedding outfit for the beach.

NEW TAILOR - Carrara

Handmade tailored jackets, trousers, vests, overcoats and suits are intentionally made in Italy at Sergio, Angela & Paul's refined atelier Sartoria Carrara. You can see the Italian sophistication and suppleness even when the garment is hanging on the hanger. When you put it on, you feel in every fibre that it was made with love and attention. The construction and the haberdashery used on the jackets are so light that you hardly feel the jacket. One of the first customers we had the opportunity to measure a suit on at NEW TAILOR said at the time, "it feels like pyjamas. Above all, it looks super sleek, beautiful and stylish. Emanuel Berg also makes our handmade shirts.

NEW TAILOR - The Lounge

As one of the few tailors in the Benelux we still make jackets and suits in-house. For our Lounge Jacket & Worker Jacket we use only the fabric, a unique pattern and the craft skills of our tailors. The result is a comfortable, sporty and durable jacket that wears like a vest and looks like a jacket. The whole process of picking, cutting, fitting and making the NEW TAILOR Amsterdam Easy Wear jackets is a unique experience that adds value for that reason alone. When picking out the materials, we also make sure they come from the Netherlands as much as possible. That way we keep footprint to a minimum.
