Van harte met jullie voorgenomen huwelijk.  We hebben jarenlange ervaring in het maken van kleding voor een bruiloft en andere formele gelegenheden. Van een jacquet tot de ultieme linnen trouwoutfit voor op het strand. Bij een trouwpak komt natuurlijk net iets meer kijken dan het uitzoeken van een ‘gewoon’ pak en daarom nemen we graag alle tijd om je te inspireren en te helpen bij de vele keuzes. Het gaat in eerste instantie om de stijl die je beoogt, de sfeer die je op wilt roepen en hoe de dag eruit gaat zien. We hebben voor diverse thema’s volop ideeën. Van vintage tot urban en van bohemian tot klassiek. De verschillende voorbeelden in onze winkels en ons trouwmagazine gaan je helpen in het maken van de juiste keuze.

We inventariseren wat je wenst, wie je bent en hoe de dag eruit ziet.  We hebben heel veel stoffen en helpen je bij het maken van de juiste keuze. Daarna kiezen we meestal de voering en knopen. Het wordt een super persoonlijk pak. Samen bepalen we het model en allerlei details als een monogram en bijvoorbeeld de schouderverwerking. Dat klinkt al heel keuzes en dat is ook zo, maar dat is enerzijds leuk en anderzijds best wel eenvoudig omdat jouw gewenste stijl en de stof al zullen passen bij de stijlkeuzes. Ook bespreken we waar we het pak voor jou gaan maken. Het liefst doen we dat in eigen atelier in Utrecht zodat jij alle stappen mee kan maken.  Een pak maken is geen wetenschap. Wel een kunst.

We take stock of what you want, who you are and what the day looks like. A wedding suit you wear on the beach looks different from a wedding suit you wear in the fairytale setting of a castle. Of course, we make sure that your suit, with or without that unique cardigan, can also be worn well afterwards for other parties or your work. This way you not only look great that one day, but also feel fantastic and confident all the other times you wear our suit.

We have lots of fabrics and help you make the right choice. Then we usually choose the lining and buttons. The model of the jacket is determined by the width and type of shoulder, width of lapel, button and waist height, lengths, degree of cut away and of course the type of pockets. For the pants, we choose the number of band pleats, band processing, type of pockets, closure, etc.. By measuring you extensively and looking closely at your postures, we can make the pattern. Often we shoot another jacket to determine the desired and appropriate lengths together. Making a suit is not a science. It is an art.

How do you make a choice?

Picking out wedding attire is something special. It is even more important than other clothes because it is for one of the most important days of your life, where everything revolves around you. You as the central focus and a day that will be captured in many a photo. So it should be clothing that suits you, you and the environment. Ideally, of course, it should be clothes that you can also enjoy wearing afterwards.

Picking out your perfect tailored clothing therefore takes a little more time and attention. Start with a picture for the whole day. If you know the location, often a certain style of clothing goes with it. You can also create a sort of mood board for your clothing. Orient yourself at a number of stores by looking at different jackets/suits and trying them on. You can also collect images that appeal to you on Pinterest and the site of NEW TAILOR .

No stress

Make an orientation appointment so you can get a picture and consider different colors and fabrics. That way, even for you l the perfect picture will arise in your mind and you will become convinced of what you are going to wear. A week later you and your best man, for example, come to pick out the final fabric, determine the model and to have your measurements taken.

Making your clothes usually takes six weeks depending on where the fabric comes from, the amount of handwork and the number of intermediate fits. If you allow for 12 weeks, no one will be stressed. Your dress will be ready in plenty of time and we will pick the accessories. Even after your wedding we stay in touch and make sure your suit or combination can still be worn by you.
